I'm currently reading Alice Hoffman's newest novel, The Dovekeepers: A Novel. Unlike most of the books on my summer list, this is not a children's book, but I wanted to share this video of the author discussing what inspired her to write this work. Wow! I feel drained. Loved this book. Alice Hoffman has such magic in her words. This story is powerful, and it awakened a curiosity about this period of history . While reading, I would stop to research something I read about. I am so glad I read this book.
